Malaysia International Shoe Festival (MISF)

 

Background

The Malaysia International Shoe Festival (MISF), initiated by the Ministry of Tourism and co-organized by the Malaysian Footwear Manufacturers Association (MFMA), was established in response to statistics from the Ministry indicating that footwear accounted for 21.7% of items purchased by foreign tourists.

MISF showcases a wide variety of footwear, ranging from luxury designer collections to innovative local designs. The festival has featured prominent figures such as Professor Datuk Dr. Jimmy Choo, who has presented exclusive collections and participated in seminars. The event also includes fashion shows, design competitions, and exhibitions that highlight both established and emerging designers.
